'Picker's warehouse' in Brentwood sells everything Costco doesn't

Rand Rosenthal calls it his 'picker's warehouse' and it's open to the public

It's possible you've driven by this place thousands of times and never known it's there. This warehouse on Manchester Road in Brentwood, is located behind another business, and is not visible from the road. So when you finally discover it, you might just say 'holy cow.'

"This warehouse has been open 5 years and a lot of people don't know about it because we don't advertise. But when they come in here, they are in shock," said the owner, Rand Rosenthal.

When Rand isn't busy with his landscaping business, he travels the country, looking for unique things.

"This is my picker's warehouse... In the landscaping business, it's slow during the winter so I started going to different cities and picking. I have a very good eye for design and the unusual. And I look for things that are worn with the hands of time," he said.

Rand's warehouse is open to the public to shop only one day a month, on the first Saturday.

"And during Christmas, I'm open everyday through Christmas from 11-6," he said.

So what will you find?
The better question is what won't you find.

"What I say to people is, we have everything Costco doesn't have," Rand said.

Like a sign that dates back to a time when Christmas trees cost $2.50 or the original seats from Yankee Stadium. Not everything is old. He also has some hot home decor trends.

"This is called an anywhere fireplace. You can put it anywhere, table, outside, inside," he said.
