ST. LOUIS COUNTY – Two men are facing charges after admitting to stealing phones at gunpoint at a Ferguson motel Monday.
Tremon K. Chambers, 26, and Tyrone Purham, 19, were both charged with three counts of first-degree robbery Monday, the Florissant Police Department said.
Police said they responded to the Motel 6 at 307 Dunn Road where two victims were robbed of their phones at gunpoint. The investigation led police to Chambers' home in Jennings, where they found Purham sitting in a car seen at the scene of the robbery with what appeared to be a weapon in his lap.
Both were taken into custody and admitted to the robberies at the motel as well as a robbery at a Maryland Heights QuikTrip.
Both are being held at the St. Louis County jail on $150,000 bond.
