Car riddled with bullets discovered along WB I-70

Police said the shooting victim later arrived at an area hospital. The victim is listed in serious condition.

ST. LOUIS — Police said a shooting involving a shot-up car along Interstate 70 temporarily closed two lanes of traffic early Wednesday morning.

Shortly before 4 a.m., police received a call for shots fired near the West Florissant exit along westbound I-70. But, upon arrival, officers discovered a white car struck with numerous bullet holes abandoned near the median. Two lanes of traffic were closed while authorities investigated the shooting.

Police said the shooting victim later arrived at an area hospital. The victim is listed in serious condition.

So far, police do not have any suspects in connection with the crime.

Police re-opened all lanes of westbound I-70 shortly before 5:30 a.m.
