Former Troy police officer sentenced for statutory rape

A former Troy, Missouri, police officer was sentenced to five years in prison for statutory rape.

According to a press release from the Troy Police Department, Marc R. Dody was sentenced to 5 years in prison after entering an open plea late last year.

The press release said the Troy Police Department was made aware of statutory rape allegations in June of 2016, at which time they turned the case over to the Missouri State Highway Patrol to avoid any appearance of bias.

Formal charges were filed in Lincoln County in October 2016. He was later charged with similar counts in St. Charles and St. Louis Counties.

He still has pending court hearings in St. Louis and St. Charles Counties.
