Man in injured in north St. Louis shooting, office struck

He had already been at work for three hours Tuesday when he discovered his window was shot.

ST. LOUIS – Chris Carter's office is right across the street from the BP Gas station at 6001 West Florissant Avenue.

He had already been at work for three hours Tuesday when he discovered his window was shot.

"This is very frustrating right now", Carter said.

Frustrating because he didn't even know until 5 On Your Side arrived.

"I did not know my building got shot," he said. "Not until we just walked in."

“We could have been in here. Matter of fact we were in here last night. Yeah, I didn't know where it was coming from but I most definitely heard it", he said.

He is talking about the gunshots that left one man shot in the shoulder. The man’s 9-month-old baby was also in the car at the time the shots were fired.

Carter didn't hear this bullet hit the glass. One window pane is bulletproof, the bullet fragment came to rest in between the panes.

He called police while we were there. He said surveillance video captured during the shooting should help police with their investigation.
