Motorcyclists shot, killed in south STL identified

According to police, the victims, 40-year-old Joseph Finger and 27-year-old Megan Nieder, were driving near the intersection of Minnesota and Bellerive around 1:10 a.m. when the shooting occurred. 
Two people were shot and killed while riding a motorcycle in the Carondelet neighborhood of south St. Louis.

Two people were shot and killed while riding a motorcycle in the Carondelet neighborhood of south St. Louis early Tuesday morning.

According to police, the victims, 40-year-old Joseph Finger and 27-year-old Megan Nieder, were driving near the intersection of Minnesota and Bellerive around 1:10 a.m. when the shooting occurred. The motorcycle that was recovered from the scene was reported stolen on Sept. 27.

Finger was facing charges in St. Louis and St. Francois County for allegedly stealing a car a motorcycle.

An unknown suspect was seen leaving the area on foot.
