Murder witness urges others to come forward to help police

ST. LOUIS – Police said witnesses to crimes refusing to come forward is a big problem when it comes unsolved murders in the St. Louis region.

However, one witness to a Florissant murder said it's worth it to call police. This witness doesn't want to be identified, but he did want to help. He ran to a window after he heard gunshots then told police what he saw.

A 20-year-old was killed during the Feb. 1 shooting. The murder happened at a Florissant townhome near Dunn Road and Stonebury Court. The witness said he saw three men jump over a low point in a fence, jump into a car and speed away.

The crime is still under investigation.

The witness to the murder said the community needs to help police solve crimes, or murderers will keep killing. If you know anything about this crime or any murder call police.
