Police investigating 3 carjackings in south STL Thursday morning

Police believe the incidents are related.

ST. LOUIS – Police are investigating three carjackings in south St. Louis within hours of each other Thursday morning.

Police responded to the 3400 block of Michigan Avenue around 8 a.m. where victim was carjacked by two armed men. Both men had their faces covered. The stolen vehicle is a 2013 green KIA Soul. The victim’s purse and iPhone were also taken.

Shortly after, blocks away from Tower Grove Park in the 4000 block of McDonalds, two men in the stolen green 2013 KIA Soul then took someone’s 2002 blue Camry and drove away in both vehicles.

About two hours later near Grand and Meramec, an armed man approached the victim and took his white Mercedes. The victim and his employer tried to follow the suspect in another vehicle, but lost sight of the suspect.

Police believe the incidents are related. All three cars were recovered and police took three suspects into custody.
