ST. LOUIS -- The homeless man accused of groping at least four women in the Tower Grove area is now facing charges for an additional groping incident.
According to charging documents, a woman was walking her dog this past June in the 3100 block of Iowa when 30-year-old John Wells approached her from behind, grabbed her butt with both hands and pressed his body against her. When she turned around, the victim says Wells smiled, laughed, then ran away into a nearby alley.
The victim positively identified Wells from a lineup of photographs.
Wells has been charged with fourth-degree assault in the incident. He's currently behind bars, facing a number of sexual assault charges.
