Freddy's Frozen Custard deal in South County not moving forward

A proposal to build a Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers at the old Targetlot in South County will not move forward after all.

Dan Jones filed plans with St. Louis County to build a Freddy's at the old Target lot on south Lindbergh Boulevard after he purchased, through his DLJ Lindbergh LLC, 5228 and 5240 S. Lindbergh Blvd. for $3.35 million. The plan made it through a first reading at the St. Louis County Council meeting on Jan. 23.

But by Wednesday the deal had fallen through between DLJ Lindbergh and Freddy's, which just had a non-binding letter of intent, according to Carmody MacDonald Principal Angela Drumm, who represented Jones.
