JEFFERSON CO., Mo. – 11 flu-related deaths have been reported in Jefferson County this flu season.
Flu season started on Oct. 1, 2017. The ages of those who have died have not been released.
In Jefferson County, no outbreaks of influenza have been reported in long-term care facilities and no schools have closed due to influenza, according the Jefferson County Health Department
As of Feb. 1, 3686 laboratory-positive influenza cases have been reported in Jefferson County. The flu is widespread in Missouri.
