In an emergency, quickly providing your medical information can be crucial. But in an emergency, you may not be able to remember your information or you may be unable to provide it to first responders.

To help avoid this problem, Bethesda Health Group is offering a way to store your information in a place where first responders can find it: the freezer.

Bethesda is offering free freezer bag kits for people to store their medical information.

Here's how it works. Fill out forms containing your medical information, put in the bag and place it in the freezer.

The kit also includes a magnet to put on your fridge, letting first responders know there's a freezer kit inside. Many first responders are now trained to look for the information.
