An afternoon with friends and relatives ended tragically after a 12-year-old boy drowned in north St. Louis County apartment complex swimming pool.
Police say the group appeared to be swimming, without adult supervision, at the pool inside the Lucas Hunt Village Apartments located in the 5300 block of Lucas & Hunt Road.
The child, 12-year-old Terrance Green of St. Louis went underwater in the deep end of the pool. The children alerted an adult nearby, who entered the pool and pulled Green from the water and began CPR while 911 was being called.
Green was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
