BELLEVILLE, Ill. - A Belleville mother died unexpectedly two days after giving birth, leaving her husband to raise the baby and two young children.
Kayla Goscinski had her third C-section on Tuesday and was expected to be home right now, but she died two days later from a rare heart condition.
Kayla's husband, George, is now raising their healthy baby boy, Hudson, and their two young children.
Kayla was also recently elected PTA president for her son's school, Notre Dame Academy in Belleville.
The school community is collecting diapers, food and household necessities to help Kayla's husband and their kids.
