EAST ST. LOUIS – Firefighters battled of a massive fire near North 25th Street and Louisiana Boulevard in East St. Louis Monday morning.
The fire was reported shortly before 7 a.m. and is next to a gas station, but the fire does not appear to have spread to the building. A transformer near the blaze started to spark as power lines caught fire. The gas station nearby has smoke damage on its walls.
