Grab the tissues: Kopf family releases video of Abbie's recovery

On the day Abigail Kopf is set to go home from Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital, her family shared a video of her road to recovery.

In the emotional video, posted to YouTube by Mary Free Bed, Abbie is seen demonstrating all of her rehabilitation exercises and her parents talk about their lives during the last two months.

Her father, Gene, briefly revisited his call for an end to gun violence in America: "This country has a serious problem with it, no other developed country does," he said. "So where does it stop?"

Abbie speaks briefly, but is eager to take off her microphone. She says she's excited to go home and see her friends and her pets before saying, "Can I lose the microphone now?"

Late Saturday, Feb. 20, Abbie was shot in the Texas Township Cracker Barrel parking lot. Through it all, family said she's been "inspiring others with her infectious smile, positive outlook and bravery."

Tyler Smith, 17; Rich Smith, 53; Mary Jo Nye, 60; Mary L. Nye, 62; Barbara Hawthorne, 68; and Dorothy "Judy" Brown, 70, died in the attacks.

Accused gunman Jason Dalton faces six counts of murder, in addition to other charges.
