Police closed multiple lanes of eastbound Interstate 70 at the Blanchette Bridge Sunday night after a pedestrian was struck.
MoDOT said the incident happened at around 9:20. A spokesman for the Missouri State Highway Patrol said the driver of the car remained on the scene, and the pedestrian is still alive.
As many as four lanes were closed Sunday, but they have since been cleared.
