ST. LOUIS — A dead body was pulled from River Des Peres in south St. Louis Friday.
A spokeswoman with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department said the St. Louis Fire Department was called to the river near the 4000 Germania Avenue at around 11:30 Friday morning. The fire department recovered a body from the river.
The police spokeswoman said homicide detectives were not called in to help with the investigation.
No other information has been provided.
This is the second body recovered from the River Des Peres this summer. On June 25, a 45-year-old man's body was pulled from the river in the area of River Des Peres Boulevard and Gravois Avenue.
