The board was set to vote on major budget cuts but had to stop when protestors laid down and shouted, "justice for faculty."

Protesters disrupted a meeting of the St. Louis Community College Board of Trustees Thursday night.

The board was set to vote on major budget cuts but had to stop when protestors laid down and shouted, "justice for faculty."

The board got up and left for a while but when they came back, the protests continued.

Chancellor Jeff Pittman told 5 On Your Side if they don't cut 90 teachers and staff, the school could be $13 million in the hole by the year 2020.

Late Thursday night, the board did decide to make the cuts but did not talk to the media.

The Chancellor said he will be available for one on one interviews on Friday.
