ST. CHARLES, Mo. — Business owners and customers in St. Charles are worried a noise ordinance could change how they enjoy a night out in the city.

The city council is looking to quiet down the city late at night, which people say could hurt business.

This comes after city leaders tried to ban the sale of alcohol after 11 p.m. on certain parts of Main Street. But neighbors shot that down. They're hoping to do the same with this bill.

Neighbors planned to voice their concerns at the city council meeting Tuesday night at 6:30 but may not have to. According to a tweet from the City of St. Charles, the sponsor plans to withdraw the bill.
