ST. LOUIS - Happy Halloween! 5 On Your Side wants to make sure your Trick-or-Treat excursion is a safe one.

Our I-Team pulled crash data from the Missouri State Highway Patrol that pinpoints exactly where pedestrians are getting hit. Year to date, there's been nearly 300 pedestrian accidents in 5 On Your Side's viewing area.

Certain regions of the St. Louis metro have a higher concentration of pedestrian accidents than other areas. For instance, six pedestrians have been hit in Downtown St. Louis this year, including a fatal accident in March at the intersection of Market and 14th streets.

According to the data, five pedestrians have been hit on or near Natural Bridge Road in north St. Louis. And the Kingsway West Neighborhood has had two fatalities.

A stretch of Chambers Road in north St. Louis County seems to be another hot spot in our region. That roadway between Halls Ferry and Lewis and Clark Blvd has seen six accidents so far this year.
