Trump reiterates call for Muslim ban & increased bombing

Just hours after the mass shooting in Orlando took the lives of 49 people; Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump again called for a complete ban of Muslim immigration to the United States.

Just hours after the mass shooting in Orlando took the lives of 49 people; Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump again called for a complete ban of Muslim immigration to the United States.

Trump first pitched the idea of a complete ban on Muslim immigration to the United States in the wake of the mass shooting in San Bernardino, California in December 2015. That shooting was carried out by Syed Farook, a U.S. citizen, and Tashfeen Malik, a lawful permanent U.S. resident.

Trump went further on “Fox and Friends” on the Fox News Channel saying that American Muslims know who the terrorists are.

“There are many people, thousands of people already in our country that are sick with hate,” Trump said, according to TalkingPointsMemo.com. “And people that are around him, Muslims know who they are, largely. They know who they are. They have to turn them in. They know who they are. They see them.”

Trump also told the Fox and Friends crew that the U.S. should launch a military response overseas over the Orlando attack, according to TPM.com.

Sunday’s shooting at a gay nightclub in Orlando was carried out by Omar Mateen, who was born in New York and was living in Fort Pierce, Florida. Mateen’s ex-wife, Sitora Yusuify, told ABC News that Mateen was angry, “emotionally violent and that later evolved into abuse.”

“I can honestly say this is a sick person,” Yusuify told ABC News about Mateen. “This was a sick person that was really confused and went crazy.”
