FENTON, Mo. - Emergency crews are on scene near I-44 Eastbound in Fenton after a worker died in an accident.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a contractor working for the Missouri Department of Transportation was working on a drilling rig and was taking samples when the boom on his truck accidentally went into power lines above.
The man identified as 39-year-old Stephen Tepatti, of Florissant, was electrocuted around 9:45 a.m.
Hundreds of Ameren customers were left without power for a few hours due to the accident.
No other details have been released.
