WWII medals to be reunited with owner's widow

The owner of the medals, Dr. Marvin L Cox passed away in 2009. 
According to a press release from Goodwill, the medals included a purple heart. They believe the medals belonged to Marvin L. Cox, who was a doctor out of Belleville.

ST. LOUIS - World War II medals accidentally donated to Goodwill will be returned to the owner’s widow.

On Tuesday, MERS Goodwill sent out a press release asking for the public’s help to find the owner.

The owner of the medals, Dr. Marvin L Cox passed away in 2009. His widow, Natalya Cox accidentally donated the medals at MERS Goodwill downtown outlet center.

The medals include a Purple Heart.

Goodwill says it is making arrangements with Ms. Cox to return the medals. “Ms. Cox had recently been cleaning and donating items to Goodwill and missed the box of medals.” Goodwill said.
