Man who shot Chesterfield couple faces new charges for sexual assault

Phillip Stroisch, 42, is facing 21 new charges after sexually assaulting a woman before shooting a Chesterfield couple.

ST. LOUIS COUNTY – A man who was charged with shooting into a couple’s home and injuring them earlier this month is now facing new charges including sodomy and kidnapping.

On March 5, 42-year-old Phillip Stroisch assaulted a woman by smothering, strangling, punching and pistol-whipping her, according to court documents.

He then sexually assaulted her and threatened to kill her.

After the assault, Stroisch drove to the home of a couple he previously worked for and shot them, according to officials.

Stroisch has been charged with 21 counts, including: one count of domestic assault, six counts of sodomy, one count of kidnapping, two counts of first degree assault, one count of unlawful use of a weapon and ten counts of armed criminal action.

He is being held on a $1 million cash-only bond.
