Budweiser is looking to expand into other markets, and they will launch that endeavor on Friday.
They are hoping to become the official beer of Mars by blasting one of their main ingredients, barley, into orbit to see how it grows in microgravity. The barley will take a month-long ride on the International Space Station for study.
Budweiser is partnering with experts in the field including Center for Advancement of Science in Space, which manages the International Space Station U.S. National Laboratory.
The barley will take flight in the Space X Falcon 9, which is expected to launch on Friday morning.
