'DWTS': Nyle DiMarco claims the top spot, Mischa Barton goes home

On Monday night, we weren't only emotional because we were mourning former contestant Geraldo Rivera's finger-point.

Dancing with the Stars' Most Memorable Year episode gave us the feels as the celebs shared which milestones have meant the most to them. Our favorite dances from the show are below, and if you wanted to take the time to locate the nearest tissue box now, it wouldn't be the worst idea.

1. Nyle DiMarco and Peta Murgatroyd

Though Nyle and Peta's dance only earned 20 points last week, the couple earned the highest score on Monday night. The two danced a tango inspired by 2012, the year Nyle traveled the world without an interpreter. The dance that Bruno Tonioli called breathtaking earned them 25 points.

2. Wanya Morris and Lindsay Arnold

For their waltz, Wanya brought Boyz II Men together to sing The Star-Spangled Banner, the song they sang at the closing ceremonies of the 1996 Olympics after the Centennial Olympic Park bombing in Atlanta. The moving routine earned the duo a score of 24.

3. Jodie Sweetin and Keo Motsepe

Getting to re-enter the world of acting made this past year Jodie's most memorable. When Full House ended in 1995, a 13-year-old Jodie didn't know how to grieve the loss so she turned to drugs and alcohol. Her TV family--Aunt Becky (Lori Loughlin) and her dad, Danny, (Bob Saget) praised Jodie for her journey in her intro. package, and Jodie and Keo racked up 23 points for their foxtrot.

4. Antonio Brown and Sharna Burgess

The Pittsburgh Steeler more than got by this week with a little help from his son. Antonio said his most memorable year was in 2007 when Antonio Jr. was born and featured him in his foxtrot. The judges awarded Antonio and Sharna 20 points for their adorable dance.

5. Doug Flutie and Karina Smirnoff

Just like Carrie Ann Inaba, we gave bonus points for the emotion that Doug was able to convey during his dance, an ode to 2015 when he lost both parents on the same day. Even though he stumbled, his tribute to his mom and dad was beautiful and earned the couple 20 points.

In other news, Mark Ballas returned to the ballroom and was brave enough to enter the octagon with UFC fighter Paige VanZant--for their paso doble that is.

Mischa Barton finally seemed to be comfortable shaking it with her partner, Artem Chigvintsev. It wasn't the full out O.C. homage that we were hoping for, but she did get some words of encouragement from Papa Cohen (Peter Gallagher).

Sadly, Mischa and Artem were eliminated, but at least they went home on a high note.

Next Monday, the stars might show us A Whole New World. It's Disney night, and Zendaya, the runner-up for season 16, will be a guest judge. DWTS airs Monday at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
