FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) — Missouri pitchers held Arkansas to one run to beat the 15th-ranked Razorbacks in a college baseball game.
The Tigers put up four runs in the fourth and eighth innings on their way to a 10-1 victory Sunday to win the weekend series. Michael Plassmeyer pitched 3 2/3 innings to earn the win. Darien Simms had a pinch-hit ground out to drive in the Hogs' only run.
The victory was only the second conference win for Missouri — both game against Arkansas. The Razorbacks fell to 4-5 in Southeastern Conference play.
Manager Dave Van Horn said Missouri took advantage of several Arkansas mistakes and played well all weekend. It marked the first time this season that Arkansas dropped a series at home.
Arkansas will play at Memphis on Wednesday.
