Stars, LGBT advocates react to Orlando mass shooting

Celebrities and LGBT advocates have taken to social media to react to the tragedy.

The country is mourning the loss of 50 people who were killed in a shooting spree in gay Orlando nightclub Pulse early Sunday morning. The mass shooting, which took place during Pride Week, is themost deadly shooting spree in U.S. history.

Celebrities and LGBT advocates have taken to social media to react to the tragedy.

In one week: our hearts break for Christina Grimmie and her family, her fans. Our hearts break for the queer community in Orlando, unsafe even in a space they created for themselves. Our hearts break for a country where this is what the news looks like day after day. The concerned citizens of the United States of America demand change.

Worst mass shooting in US history and it happens at a gay club during Pride Month in 2016. My heart aches for the families and friends of everyone involved. Devastated. Be safe, love one another and ban the fuck out of assault weapons. #orlando
