Cold weather delays PSB lane closures again

Because of the low temperatures, scheduled lane shifts were put off for another week.

ST. LOUIS – Construction on the Poplar Street Bridge has been delayed again due to the cold.

Because of the low temperatures, scheduled lane shifts were put off until after the new year. Now, they will delayed again. Those changes were set to take place before the new year but were rescheduled for this week. Now, they are being delayed another week.

The work is now set to begin on Tuesday, Jan. 9, with the closure of an additional eastbound lane on the bridge starting at 8 p.m. This means only one lane will be open from 8 p.m. Jan. 9 to 2 p.m. Jan. 10.

Crews will again close an eastbound lane from 8 p.m. Jan. 10 to 2 p.m. Jan. 11. At 8 p.m. Jan. 11, they will close two westbound lanes. One lane will reopen at 5 a.m. on Jan. 12, and the other will remain closed until the end of the year.
