JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- A bill has been drawn up in Jefferson City that would provide funding for a new professional soccer stadium in St. Louis.

The bill would place a small sales tax increase on the ballot in the city and county to fund up to $100 million.

Supporters hope a new stadium would entice the MLS to bring an expansion team to St. Louis.

The bill still needs to be voted on in the Missouri House and Senate.
