The Hazelwood Central basketball team has started the season the same way they hope to finish it, winning game.
The Hawks defeated St. Mary's last Saturday to bring home the Coaches vs. Cancer championship at Meramec. Their record is a stunning 13-1 and their only loss came to Orr Academy, a school in Chicago, at the Midwest Showdown in December.
Central appears to be in the hunt for their first ever state championship. What makes this season so special? The answer is chemistry.
