OKAWVILLE, Ill. – After nine trips to the Illinois state finals, including a devastating loss in the championship game last year, the Okawville boys basketball finally brought home the school's first state championship. The class 1A school is home to a town of only 1,400 people -- most whom were there to give the team a raucous homecoming upon their return home from Peoria.
The Rockets (27-8) beat Annawan (31-4) 59-48 on Saturday.
