Pietrangelo, Schenn picked for NHL All-Star Game

Both players will be making their first all-star game appearances.

The St. Louis Blues will have two representatives at the NHL All-Star Game this year.

Captain Alex Pietrangelo and Forward Brayden Schenn were selected Wednesday to represent the team the Jan. 28 showcase.

Pietrangelo, a 27-year-old defenseman, anchored the top line of the defense for the Blues this season adding seven goals and 23 assists.

In his first year with the team, Schenn is tied for the team lead in points with 44 and leads the team in assists with 27.

Both players will be making their first all-star game appearances.
