Here are five things you don't want to miss on Wednesday at the Rio Olympics.

1. Men’s basketball

The U.S. men (2-0) take on Australia (6 p.m. ET), a team that beat Serbia and France in group play. Australia has five NBA players: Andrew Bogut (Dallas), Patty Mills (San Antonio), Matthew Dellavedova (Milwaukee), Aron Baynes (Detroit) and Joe Ingles (Utah) on its roster. For the Americans, Carmelo Anthony is closing in on the team’s all-time Olympic scoring record.

2. Swimming

Missy Franklin looks to bounce back after a disappointing start to her Olympics. She is expected to swim in the preliminary heat of the U.S. women’s 4x200 freestyle relay to try to impress enough to make the final alongside Katie Ledecky, Allison Schmitt and others. Other finals include the women’s 200 fly, the men’s 100 free and men’s 200 breaststroke.

3. Cycling

Women’s time trial (7:30 a.m. ET)

Kristin Armstrong is the two-time defending Olympic champion in this race. She turns 43 on Thursday and could be challenged by Anna van der Breggen of the Netherlands, who won the road race Sunday.

4. Gymnastics

Men’s all-around final, 3 p.m. ET

Japan’s Kohei Uchimura is the defending Olympic champion in the men’s all-around and a favorite to add to his collection of six Olympic medals. Chris Brooks and Sam Mikulak will represent the United States but are not considered medal contenders.

5. Men’s soccer

The Brazilian men’s team has yet to score a goal in this tournament. Brazil plays Denmark (9 p.m. ET) in its final group game on Wednesday and a win would likely ensure the home team advances to the elimination round.
