INTERACTIVE RADAR | Strong storms expected overnight, to leave area by morning

St. Louis is basically dry for the weekend, with just a stray shower chance on Saturday and partly cloudy weather on Sunday.
Isolated showers and storms today

ST. LOUIS — A cold front moving through early Friday morning sparked storms in the St. Louis area overnight, with the heaviest rain missing St. Louis metropolitan area. Still, some area of southern Illinois has seen heavy rain.

Thunderstorms will continue to weaken through the morning, giving way to dry weather by midday. Isolated thunderstorms, which will not be severe, will pop up in the area by the afternoon, with high temperatures reaching the 80s to around 90 again.

St. Louis is basically dry for the weekend, with just a stray shower chance on Saturday and partly cloudy weather on Sunday. Rain returns late Sunday night into Monday, leading to a wet start to the week. Temperatures will cool back into the lower 80s Monday through Wednesday after a warm weekend. Once we get into late Tuesday, high pressure builds into Missouri and Illinois.

This will bring pleasant weather for much of next week. Enjoy!
