1. Climb So ILL l Indoor Rock Climbing

This is one of St. Louis’ only rock climbing facilities. It’s a contemporary space inside the old power plant building that supplied power to the old City Hospital for nearly five decades. They have programs for people of every skill level, even if you’ve never done it before.It’s open daily. Their address is 1419 Carroll Street in St. Louis. For more information, visit here.

2. Upper Limits Rock Gym and Pro Shop

This is the city’s other climbing gym. The original location opened in 1994. There are now two locations, one in Downtown St. Louis and the other in West St. Louis County. They have classes for people of every skill level. It’s also a great birthday party location. It’s open daily. 3. Skyzone l Trampoline Park
Sky Zone is the world’s first indoor trampoline park. They invented “fun fitness” and their facilities feature trampolines as far as the eye can see. They throw great birthday parties too. They have open jump time as well. They have two St. Louis area locations open as of now. The address to the one in Fenton is 631 Gravois Rd. 4. City Museum
It’s a giant playground, that’s fun for kids of all ages. If you’re looking for something different to do, spend the day here. There are slides, giant contraptions your kids can climb, a Ferris wheel and so much more. They’re closed Monday’s and Tuesday’s. 5. Missouri History Museum
History Clubhouse: Open daily 10 am to 4 pm. Tickets are FREE but tickets are needed to visit. Those can be picked up at the Information Desk at the museum. Visit the website to find out more about storytelling and Make-and-Take Workshops happening weekly. Little Black Dress Exhibit: Opening April 2nd it features more than 60 dresses from the museum’s renowned textile collection. The Missouri History Museum is located in Forest Park. 6. Daniel Boone Home
Re-opening March 8th for the season. It’s your chance to step into history, to experience the legacy Daniel Boone. A visit here will give your family a glimpse into how the family lived. Guided Tours are available daily or you can take a self-guided tour. The Daniel Boone Home is located at 1868 Highway F in Defiance, MO. For more information, visit here.

7. St. Louis Zoo

It is routinely named among the best Zoo’s in the country, and you can see why when you visit for FREE! It’s open daily and is home to thousands of animals. The Zoo is not only a fun place to visit, but it’s educational. The Sea Lion Show and Caribbean Cove is not open yet, but there’s still so much to do. There are fees for things like the Children’s Zoo, unless you arrive within the first hour the Zoo is open. The Zoo is located at One Government Dr. in Forest Park in St. Louis. 8. World Bird Sanctuary

You can get up close to bald eagles, vultures, owls and more at the World Bird Sanctuary. It’s free to visit and they offer a variety of programs designed to teach your family all about all kinds of winged creatures. You can see a list of upcoming events on their website. They have something nearly every weekend. It’s open daily from 8 am to 5 pm. Reservations are not needed. They are located at 125 Bald Eagle Ridge Rd in Valley Park, MO. 9. Lone Elk Park
Another free destination in Valley Park is Lone Elk Park. It’s right next door to the World Bird Sanctuary and is home to herds of Bison and Elk. This is a park you can drive through while you see the animals in their natural environment. It’s open daily from sunrise to sunset. It’s free, though donations are appreciated. They are located at 1-44 North Outer Road, West of Highway 141. For more information, visit here.

10. Endangered Wolf Center
Dozens of endangered wolves call this facility home. This place is constantly working to preserve the lives of wolves through education. They offer all kinds of fun programs for kids or you can tour the facility for just $15. Reservations are required for tours and for events. See everything they’re up to online. 11. Big Joel's Safari
This is a petting zoo and educational park. You’ll see all kinds of animals here from mild to wild! They’ve got cattle, camels, zebras, ostriches, emus and so much more. Dozens of species call this place home. Not all the animals here are available for petting or feeding but many of them are and all of them can be seen up close!
They open again for the season Easter weekend. It’s open Thursday, Friday and Saturday’s from 9am – 5pm. Sunday’s from 11am to 5pm. Tickets cost $6. Big Joe's Safari is located at 13187 State Hwy M in Wright City, MO. For more information, visit here.

12. Missouri Botanical Garden
No matter what the season, there’s always something to see and enjoy at the Missouri Botanical Garden. Right now there’s the Orchid Show inside the Ridgeway Center. But soon the Children’s Garden will open along with another new children’s area, opening later this spring. Tickets are available at the door, and St. Louis County and City residents get a discount. Members visit for free and they’re open daily. The Missouri Botanical Garden is located at 4344 Shaw Blvd in

13. The Butterfly House
Among the Missouri Botanical Garden’s family of attractions is the Butterfly House. It’s located in Faust Park and is home to hundreds of thousands of butterflies. They have all kinds of fun events there too like March Morpho Mania right now. It’s your child’s chance to see all stages of a butterfly’s life. Missouri Botanical Garden members visit for free, otherwise tickets are available at the front door. It’s open every day but Monday! The Butterfly House is located at Faust Park, 15193 Olive Blvd in Chesterfield, MO. For more information, visit here.

14. Ted Drewes
Ted Drewes has been selling frozen custard for more than 80 years. You can stop by their South City location now for a sundae or concrete. Their location on S. Grand opens later this Spring. The current location that is open now is 6726 Chippewa in St. Louis. For more information, visit here.

15. Gus' Pretzels

Gus’ Pretzels is a family owned business across from Anheuser Busch. For decades they’ve been twisting and salting pretzels. They wrap pretzels around hot dogs, brats and more, which make for a tasty lunch or snack. They also do fundraisers and special event, giant pretzels. They are closed on Mondays. 16. Dad's Cookies
Dad’s Cookie Company has been around since the early 1900’s…and is still around today in their original home in South St. Louis. They’re famous for their scotch oatmeal cookies, but they’ve got other sweet treats there as well, like popcorn and candy. You can order them online and get them shipped anywhere in the country, or buy them at the retail location. Dad's Cookies is located at 3854 Louisiana Avenue in St. Louis. 17. Toasted Ravioli from the Hill
The Hill is a destination for anyone who loves good, authentic Italian food. There is a question among who actually invented the St. Louis staple the Toasted Ravioli...Mama's on the Hill or Charlie Gitto's? But, no matter who you believe it's delicious and we're glad it's around. Mama’s on the Hill not only makes toasted ravioli but so much more. 18. Renaud Spirit Center
What could be more fun than some time in the pool over spring break? This place has that and more! This facility has exercise equipment, fitness programs, a gymnasium where you can play all kinds of sports and the natatorium or indoor aquatic center. This place has lap lanes, a kids play area, a lazy river, zero-depth entry water-play structures and so much more. You do not need to be an O’Fallon city resident to visit. It is open daily. 19. Missouri Wine Country
Spring break isn’t just for kids. Adults need a little break too. Missouri Wine Country is a great place to visit. Hermann, Augusta and Ste. Genevieve are all fun places to get away for just an afternoon or an entire weekend. Most of the wineries are open right now so you can go and visit their tasting rooms to see if you can find a new favorite wine. For more information, visit here.

20. Anheuser Busch Brewery
It’s a St. Louis landmark. We’re talking about the AB Brewery near downtown St. Louis. If you’ve never been on a tour now is a great time to go. When you walk these halls you’ll be transported back in time to when the American beer market began. You’ll see every step of the brewing process along the way, and end in the tasting room. It’s family friendly, but you can’t partake in the tastings if you’re under 21 years old. Right now you can tour every day except Sunday from 10 am until 4 pm. 21. Busch Stadium Tour
Go places you typically can’t at the home of the St. Louis Cardinals on a Busch Stadium guided tour. You’ll visit the dugout, see World Series trophies and so much more. Right now tours are offered at 11am and 12:30pm daily. They add more tours in the summer months. They cost $15 right now… the price goes up to $18 over the summer. Tickets can be purchased at the ticket windows at the stadium or on the Cardinals website. The tour takes place at the ballpark at 700 Clark Street in St. Louis. For more information, visit here.

22. St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Fame Museum
If your family is full of Cardinals fans, the St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Fame is a must visit. It’s home to an incredible collection of memorabilia from the teams lifetime in town. There are uniforms, and trophies and uniforms and so much more. It’s $12 to visit and is open daily from 10 am to 6 pm for self-guided tours. 23. St. Louis Science Center
If your kids are looking to have a little fun, this place is a must stop. It’s free to visit. They’ve got all kinds of interesting and interactive exhibits that will teach your kids a little something about a lot of stuff. There’s even stuff for the littlest scientist, called the Discovery Room. You need tickets for that and the Omnimax films. There are currently four films playing right now including Star Wars. 24. The Magic House
It’s a museum we all grew up with as kids, and now our kids get to play there. But it’s a whole lot bigger with a lot more to offer. All your familiar favorites are there along with all kinds of new stuff to explore like the Super Kids Save the World exhibit which just opened. There are fun programs offered here as well. 25. Myseum
