ST. LOUIS — A very special episode of the popular children's show "Blippi" airs this week. The stars of the show visited The Magic House in September after a local 3-year-old won a contest to bring the show to his hometown.
Wildwood native Levi Brunk beat out "Blippi" fans across the country to win the "Blippi & Meekah in My Hometown" contest in August. A public vote chose Levi as the winner among five finalists.
"Levi is the biggest ham for a camera, and he's loved Blippi since he was just a baby!" Levi's mom, Christie Parker Brunk, told 5 On Your Side after the winner was announced. "He has asked me every day if Blippi could come play with him, and I'm just so excited his dream has finally become a reality!"
While Blippi and Meekah were in town to film the hometown episode, they held a meet-and-greet event for other St. Louis-area kids to get a chance to meet them. The event sold out within five minutes after going live on the city of Wildwood's Instagram.
When does the episode air?
The episode, called "Blippi and Meekah Construct A Friendship," will air Saturday, Nov. 4 on the "Blippi" YouTube channel.
What is the episode about?
In the show, Bliipi, Meekah and their new friend, Levi, meet for a play date at The Magic House, according to the show's media company, Moonbug. The show's stars go looking for Levi and find him in the construction zone.
The 3-year-old boy teams up with Blippi and Meekah, and they use The Magic House's construction vehicles to build a firehouse wall.
