ST. LOUIS — This holiday season is shaping up to be a little closer to normal for so many people in the St. Louis area. In 2020, pandemic restrictions meant many people spent the holidays having socially distanced outdoor meals and drive-by present drop-offs.
But hope was on the horizon with the first COVID-19 vaccines being put in arms. This year, more people are protected, meaning more family gatherings that are a little closer to normal.
Kitchens will be filled again with familiar aromas, helping hands from all generations and fond memories in the making. Living rooms will be packed with presents – and little ones eager to open them in front of adoring loved ones. Dining rooms will be jammed with extra seats at the table, plates piled high and family members sharing the kinds of stories only an extra special cup of eggnog can bring out.
