ST. CHARLES, Mo. – A&W Restaurant has opened a new location in St. Charles.

A&W is known for its famous root beer, burgers and cheese curds.

The restaurant will be open Sunday through Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Friday to Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to midnight. It is located at 3788 Elm Street in St. Charles

“Like our root beer, the A&W brand is iconic,” said Jim Sprick and Jim Sill, the local A&W Restaurant franchise owners. “We are looking forward to expanding our St. Louis footprint and welcoming our friends, neighbors and the entire community to the restaurant for burgers, cheese curds and our famous root beer, which is made fresh daily, of course!”

A&W restaurants have been in operation since 1919, and each one is franchisee owned and operated. Ingredients include 100 percent cane sugar, water and a proprietary blend of herbs, bark, spices and berries.
