ST. LOUIS — A local ice cream shop is getting some national attention.
Clementine’s Creamery made Forbes’ list of ‘Five Sophisticates Snacks to get you Through Another Month of Quarantine.’
Lifestyle writer, Amber Gibson, wrote, “Sometimes all you want to do is curl up in bed and devour a whole pint of ice cream while binge-watching Ozark on Netflix. That's ok – no judgement, so long as the ice cream is quality. So many great artisan ice creameries deliver nationally now, so you can order cult favorites like Salt & Straw and Humphry Slocombe by the pint to ship nationally. Van Leeuwen's new oat milk flavors are great for vegans.”
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, you can’t dine in at Clementine’s. It is offering takeout, curbside pickup by phone, delivery and nationwide delivery. For more information, click here
And just in time for Easter, Tamara Keefe released a carrot cake flavor. The new flavor has warming spices of cinnamon, clove, brown sugar complements fresh carrot, Medjool dates, golden raisins and roasted Granny Smith apples. The “icing on the cake” is the cream cheese swirl.
This isn’t the first time Keefe’s spot has been in national headlines. It was also mentioned in Forbes’ 25 places in U.S. to visit in 2020.
