Your guide to Halloween events in the St. Louis area

There's events for all ages across the St. Louis area on Oct. 31.

ST. LOUIS — Whether you want to brave the weather on Halloween in St. Louis or you want to stay inside, we’ve complied a list of the events happening in the area.

Indoor trick-or-treating at the St. Charles County Police Department from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The police department is located at 101 Sheriff Dierker Court in O’Fallon, tickets are not required. Over 30 participants will decorate tables and pass candy to children. After gathering treats, guests are invited to play games for prizes sponsored by Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers, Bahama Buck’s, and Krispy Kreme. Children may also bring a blanket to watch 'It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown' and 'Hotel Transylvania' inside the police department. Families on the move can enjoy a hot dinner for purchase from Doughboy’s Woodfire Pizza and WingNut Food Truck. 

Freakfest at City Museum for ages 18 and older, it starts at 7:30 p.m. and tickets cost $40 plus tax

Trick-or-treating at West County Center from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. at participating stores, no masks or weapons are allowed

Halloween parade and party in Lafayette Square at the Lafayette Park playground starting at 5:30 p.m. All ages are welcome

Over 100 homes in Soulard will be handing out candy from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Halloween Boo-nanza starts at 6 p.m. at the North County Recreation Complex

There will be hayrides and a marshmallow roast around the bonfire along with a scavenger hunt where the first 10 to finish will win a prize! There will also be crafts, pumpkins and a costume contest. The complex is located at Veteran's Memorial Park 2577 Redman Road.

Historic Main Street in St. Charles for ages 12 years and under from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Community Center in Hazelwood from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. There will be contests, games and fun! 1186 Teson Road, Hazelwood

Halloween Party at Julia Davis Library from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., there will be candy and crafts

Trick-or-treating throughout Mid Rivers Mall at participating stores from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., no masks or weapons are allowed. It’s located at 6010 Mid Rivers Mall Road in St. Peters.

Trick-or-treating throughout South County Center at participating stores from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., no masks or weapons are allowed. It’s located at 18 S. County Center Way.

Stop by the Brentwood Public Library in your costume for candy from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., it’s located at 8765 Eulalie Avenue in Brentwood.

Trick or treat on Cherokee Street from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 2853 Cherokee Street. There will be a candy bags, a photo booth and a DJ.

Trunk or treat at Have Bible Will North Campus from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 1185 Shackelford Road in Florissant.
