ST. LOUIS — One of the holiday-themed pop-up bars in St. Louis is no longer happening.
‘Jingle Bar’ was supposed to open on Nov. 22 in Soulard at Mad Art. Reservations for the bar started on Nov. 11.
On Nov. 19, the bar shared on Facebook that due to unforeseen circumstances ‘Jingle Bar’ will be canceled. It also said all prepaid reservations will be refunded. However, several people have commented on the Facebook posts and said they have not received their refunds.
A post a day later said,
‘Sorry to bring you a lump of coal...
We’re sad to say Jingle Bar won’t be able to ring in the holidays. We’ve had a major hiccup in our plans and are unfortunately going to have to cancel what was sure to be one of Santa’s favorite stops.
All the good boys and girls who made $10 reservations will be contacted directly about their refunds within the week. Visit madart.com for full details and updates.’
5 On Your Side reached out to Jingle Bar and asked how people can get their refunds, but it has not responded.
Molly's in Soulard recently announced its holiday pop-up bar, 'LIT.' But according to its website, it is no longer taking reservations. For more information, click here.
There are also several other holiday pop-up bars in the St. Louis area, but most of them do not have any reservations left. The pop-up bars do allow walk-ins, but expect to wait.
