ST. LOUIS – In honor of their 25th anniversary, Kaldi’s Coffee Roasting Co. introduced a new blend that will benefit the community in partnership with Missouri Baptist Medical Center.
Their 25th anniversary is in October. The first charitable partner will be Missouri Baptist Medical Center’s stroke program. Kaldi’s Coffee has set a goal to raise $25,000 by selling 25,000 bags of the blend.
One dollar for every bag of the anniversary blend sold will be donated to the cause. The coffee will be available at Kaldi’s 10 St. Louis cafes this Saturday as well as in wholesale partners and grocery stores, including Schnucks, next week. The blend will be available until the end of the year.
“Support of health and wellness advancements has always been a pillar of our values at Kaldi’s,” President Tricia Zimmer Ferguson said. “Whether directly or through a loved one, most people experience the life-altering effects of a stroke at some point in their lives. For our 25th anniversary, in honor of our longtime partnership, we’re giving a little extra towards these efforts. With every bag purchased, we will give $1 back to support MoBap’s work.”
Debra Victor, Vice President of the Missouri Baptist Healthcare Foundation said the money raised from the 25th Anniversary Blend will be used to support stroke survivors and their families after they leave the hospital.
“MoBap is a Primary Stroke Center caring for more than 2,000 stroke and mini-stroke patients a year. The effects of a stroke are often life-changing for the survivor and their family. To provide a continuum of care after leaving the hospital, we are creating a new program to help survivors and their caregivers adjust to their new normal. We will provide ongoing care and education, therapy services, nutritional support and more to help stroke survivors and their families thrive in their daily lives.”
