KIRKWOOD, Mo. — A popular St. Louis area bakery announced it’ll donate a percentage of its proceeds to a local charity in honor of ‘National Croissant Day’ on Jan. 30.
Nathaniel Reid Bakery said 20% of its proceeds from all croissant sales will be donated to Meals on Wheels of Greater St. Louis.
The Kirkwood bakery from James Beard semifinalist Chef Nathaniel Reid offers critically acclaimed croissants with varieties including plain, chocolate, almond and chocolate almond.
“We really saw the community come out to support this important cause last year,'' said Reid. “By having one of our most popular items benefit Meals on Wheels, we are able to really make an impact for a local cause that is important to us.”
He selected Meals on Wheels as the charity partner due to their work to provide hot, nutritious meals to those unable to prepare a meal for themselves.
The croissants at Nathaniel Reid Bakery take four days to make and Chef Reid showcases high-quality ingredients such as Wisconsin butter, California almonds and Belgian chocolate in the variety of croissants.
Nathaniel Reid Bakery is located at 11243 Manchester Road in Kirkwood.
