KIRKWOOD, Mo. — A national gastropub has permanently shuttered its location in Kirkwood.

Bar Louie, a bar and restaurant that anchored the Kirkwood Station Plaza development in downtown Kirkwood, has permanently closed, according to a sign on the door.

In the note, the restaurant chain urged Kirkwood customers to go to its Chesterfield and St. Charles locations.

The restaurant, located for more than 12 years at 100 S. Kirkwood Road, also updated its operating hours on social media to say it is permanently closed, and the chain’s website no longer lists the Kirkwood restaurant.

On the sign, the restaurant told customers, “This location is now closed. We are proud to have served the Kirkwood community over the years and are thankful for our loyal patrons. We hope you will continue to dine with us at our nearby Chesterfield & St. Charles locations.”
