ST. LOUIS — Annie Malone Family and Children Services is joining forces with YMCA and Better Family Life Inc. for the 3rd Annual Family Fest back-to-school giveaway on Saturday.
It will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in front of the Bayer YMCA and Better Family Life facilities on Page Boulevard, between Union Boulevard and Montclair Avenue. This year's Family Fest will offer free school supplies, immunization shots, health screenings, household items, haircare and utility assistance to families in need.
"We are excited to expand this year's Family Fest to help prepare more than 2,500 needy families for back-to-school who may not have the transportation to attend other school supply giveaways," said Keisha Lee, CEO of Annie Malone Children & Family Services.
The event is sponsored by the Missouri Coalition for Children, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Masonic Tuscan Lodge, Brown & Crouppen, Easton Bussman, Safety National, the St. Louis Circuit Attorney, Home Depot, Brown & Crouppen, Procter & Gamble, St. Louis Community Credit Union, White Castle, Mid-America Transplant, First Baptist Church of Chesterfield, Affinia Healthcare and Walmart.
School starts in St. Louis on Aug. 19.
