ST. LOUIS — "Drag Race" fans better work if they want a chance to see RuPaul in the flesh. One of the most famous drag queens of all time is coming to St. Louis in March to discuss his new book "The House of Hidden Meanings."

The book tells the life story of cultural icon RuPaul. The 12-time Emmy Award-winning producer of the reality show "RuPaul's Drag Race" got his start as an actor and performer, according to Biography.com. In 1993, the song "Supermodel (You Better Work)" from his debut album reached the Top 50 on the pop charts and No. 2 on the dance club charts, and his music has remained a club fixture. He made his feature film debut in Spike Lee's "Crooklyn" in 1994, and he's had roles in numerous films and television shows ever since.

An evening with RuPaul, presented by the St. Louis County Library Foundation, begins at 7 p.m. March 11 at The Pageant in the Delmar Loop.
