International Women's Day: How to celebrate in St. Louis

Take part in the celebration by attending International Women's Day events or supporting these local women-owned businesses.

ST. LOUIS — International Women's Day falls this year on Friday, March 8. It's a day to celebrate women's achievements, raise awareness about discrimination they face and help work toward gender equality, according to the day's official website.

This year's theme is "#InspireInclusion" and asks allies to take collective actions toward gender parity, whether it's through attending Women's Day events, supporting women-owned businesses and learning about women's achievements and social obstacles throughout history.
