Here’s how St. Louis is celebrating New Year’s 2024

Here's how to ring in the new year in St. Louis, whether you're an early bird or a night owl.

ST. LOUIS — 2024 is fast approaching, and local businesses are hosting New Year’s Eve celebrations to help St. Louisans say farewell to 2023 and start the next year off on the right foot.

Whether you’re looking for a late-night party, fireworks or a daytime celebration, here’s where you can ring in 2024 with friends and family.

Glitz, Glam & Glitter: Countdown to Noon

  • 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Louis Public Library Buder Branch, 4401 Hampton Ave., St. Louis.
  • Count down to noon at the Buder Library with live ragtime, blues and jazz music; crafts; games food and more. The event is free and open to those of all ages.

Noon Year’s Eve Celebration

  • 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at the Missouri History Museum, 5700 Lindell Blvd., St. Louis.
  • Can’t stay up late? Celebrate the end of 2023 with a balloon drop when the clock strikes noon. The free celebration will also include New Year’s resolution crafts, an interactive story time for kids with ethnic food traditions and live music from FIRE DOG.

Noontime New Year’s Eve

  • 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at The Magic House, 516 South Kirkwood Road, St. Louis.
  • Join in on the New Year’s festivities early at The Magic House. Guests can create special New Year’s crafts, strike a pose in a 2024-themed photo booth and get down at a dance party. The event is free with admission.

Neon Nights at Winterfest

  • 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Kiener Plaza, 500 Chestnut St., St. Lous.
  • This family-friendly event will feature a DJ, fire dancers, princesses, superheroes and a fireworks spectacular that begins at 8 p.m.

New Year’s Eve Party at 9 Mile Garden

  • 5 p.m. Sunday to 1:30 a.m. Monday at 9 Mile Garden, 9375 Gravois Road, Affton.
  • Come dressed in your 1950s best and dance the night away at 9 Mile Garden. Tickets are $35 and include a burger and fries from Roxy’s Hot Grill, a candy bar and a champagne toast at midnight. You must be 21 or older to attend.

New Year’s Eve in the City

  • 5-9 p.m. Sunday at the City Museum, 750 North 16th St., St. Louis.
  • Ring in the New Year with your family at the City Museum. Festivities include a dance party, pinatas, family bingo, crafts and a balloon drop at 8 p.m.

Comedy-Mystery Dinner Theater at Lemp Mansion

  • 6 p.m. Sunday at The Lemp Mansion, 3322 DeMenil Place, St. Louis.
  • Celebrate the end of 2023 with a lively murder mystery dinner show. Audience members can participate at their own comfort level. The show will feature champagne, party favors, noise markers, hats and fun, according to the Lemp Mansion website. Tickets are $80.95 per person, and reservations are required.

St. Louis Symphony Orchestra New Year’s Eve Celebration

  • 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Stifel Theater, 1400 Market St., St. Louis.
  • Ring in the new year in style at SLSO’s annual New Year’s Eve concert. This year’s event features musical selections of conductor Norman Huynh and vocals from Jimmie Herrod. Purchase tickets here.

24K Gold New Year’s Eve Party 

  • 9 p.m. Sunday to 1 a.m. Monday at Live! By Loews, 799 Clark Ave., St. Louis.
  • This New Year’s Eve party is all about luxury. Dress in your most dazzling attire and enjoy cocktails, gourmet bites and performances from Jam Jackson/Mars Band. Purchase tickets here.
